Donthirean Exit Company

Frequently asked questions

Direct answers, in plain language. If yours is not here, call — there is nothing to sign up for or pay before the call.

What this is

Is Donthirean Exit Company a timeshare exit company?
No. Despite how the name reads, we are not a timeshare exit company. We sell a self-directed education program: a written guide, letter templates, and a private dashboard for keeping a dated record of what you send. You do the work yourself, and we never contact your resort for you.
What does the program include?
A step-by-step written guide, downloadable letter templates, a private dashboard where you save copies of what you sent along with the dates and certified-mail tracking numbers, and automatic reminders when a waiting period ends and the next step is ready. The program is organized in phases, and each phase is a short series of steps.
Is this legal advice?
No. We are not attorneys and we do not practice law. Nothing in the program is legal advice, and using it does not create an attorney-client relationship. If you need advice about your contract or your rights, consult a licensed attorney in your state.
Does my resort developer have its own exit or deed-back program?
Many major developers do, and contacting your resort directly is a legitimate first step that the Federal Trade Commission itself recommends. These programs are not uniformly free, eligibility varies, and some developers publish no pathway at all. The program covers how to find out what your developer offers and how to make the request in writing. We do not publish a resort-by-resort list on this site.

Cost and getting started

How much does it cost?
$750, one time. There is no contract and there are no monthly charges. The price is stated in our Terms of Service and shown to you before any payment is made. Anything your resort may charge to take a timeshare back is separate, and is between you and the resort.
Do I need an account before I call?
No. The call comes first, and there is nothing to sign up for or pay before it. If the program is a fit, we create your account from the details collected on the call and email you a secure invite link so you can set your own password.
How do you take payment?
Through Stripe's hosted checkout, after you have accepted the Terms of Service. Your card details go to Stripe, not to us, so we never see or store your card number.
What is your refund policy?
Our Refund Policy is published in full on this site. Please read it before you pay; it explains exactly when a refund is available and how to request one.

The process

How long does the program take?
It depends on you and on how your resort responds. Some steps involve mailing something and then waiting, sometimes 30 or 60 days, before the next step opens. You set the pace: you can start the day you sign up and move as quickly or as slowly as you like.
What is a documented paper trail, and why does it matter?
It is a dated record of every letter you sent, when you mailed it, and the certified-mail tracking number that shows it was delivered. Keeping that record organized means you can show exactly what you asked for and when, without digging through old emails or receipts. Building that record is the core of the program.
What happens after I mail my first letter?
You save a copy of the letter, the mailing date, and the tracking number in your dashboard, and the program holds your next step for a set waiting period. Resorts reply in different ways and on different timelines, and a reply is a normal part of the process, not a reason to worry. When the waiting period ends, we email you and the next step is ready.
What if my timeshare was inherited?
The program teaches the same process. What differs is the paperwork showing that you are now the owner or are legally authorized to act regarding the timeshare, which you will need whichever route you take.
Is my information secure?
Your account is protected by a password only you set. Documents you upload are kept in access-controlled storage and served only through short-lived links tied to your account. Payment is handled by Stripe, so we never see your card number. Our Privacy Policy describes what we collect and how long we keep it.

Where we stop

Do you guarantee my timeshare contract will be cancelled?
No. We do not promise any outcome. Whether a resort accepts a request, releases an owner from a contract, or replies at all is entirely the resort's decision. Every timeshare contract is different, and we cannot tell you what will happen with yours.
Do you contact my resort or negotiate for me?
No. We do not contact your resort, your lender, or anyone else, and we do not negotiate for you. Every letter is written, signed, and mailed by you. The program teaches the process and gives you the templates; the actions are yours.
Can you look at my contract and tell me which template to use?
No. The program is deliberately non-prescriptive: it explains how the process works and gives you templates as starting points, but it does not apply them to your situation. Every contract is different. If you want someone to review your specific contract, that is a question for a licensed attorney.
Is this a debt relief service?
No. We do not negotiate, reduce, or settle debts, and we offer no service related to credit. Anything you owe your resort or lender is separate from the program and remains between you and them.
Where are you located, and how do I reach you?
We are in Victorville, California, at 16888 Nisqualli Rd, Suite 100-1, Victorville, CA 92395. Call (877) 403-6684. Se habla español. The call is for talking through whether the program is a fit, and there is nothing to sign up for or pay before it.
